Medclair mobile nitrous oxide destruction unit
Ensuring climate protection and occupational safety is possible in one system with the mobile Medclair nitrous oxide destruction unit.The mobile destruction unit (MDU) is a smart total solution for administering nitrous oxide to the patient and capturing the remaining nitrous oxide from the exhaled air and fully destroying it. The MDU can be easily moved from treatment room to treatment room and is quiet, efficient, and reliable.
The destruction unit purifies more than 99% of the nitrous oxide that enters the unit. This naturally provides a healthy work environment for healthcare providers and minimal impact on the surrounding environment. The MDU is adapted to meet the needs of healthcare providers to be able to move the unit, allowing them to use it in a simple and reliable manner. Space has been created for two cylinders, nitrous oxide and oxygen, and also an MDM titration unit to adjust the percentage of nitrous oxide in the mixture per patient (from 0% to 50% nitrous oxide in relation to oxygen).
The included face mask with accompanying hose for administering the nitrous oxide/oxygen mixture is connected to the unit. The exhaust hose for the exhaled air is also connected to the MDU, by means of a standard coupling. The necessary hoses, gas cylinders, and valves are stored in the MDU itself, making it extra easy to move as a complete unit.
The MDU is developed by our partner and manufacturer Medclair AB. Medclair is known as an innovative company from Sweden that has developed various applications to reduce emissions and exposure to nitrous oxide in the medical world with the help of its own patented technologies. The mobile destruction unit is one of the solutions to reduce emissions and greatly reduce exposure to nitrous oxide.
The current nitrous oxide mixer supplied by Grodenta can also be mounted directly on the unit using a bracket. This way, the healthcare provider can still use titration to administer treatments.
